I was born in Japan and raised in Australia.

My photography journey began at a young age when my father—a photographer himself—gifted me a Yashika 35 rangefinder camera.

This sparked a lifelong passion and dedication to the art.

I’ve held a camera in my hand ever since.

After apprenticing renowned photographer John Gollings, I took the plunge to begin my professional photography career, spanning subjects across people, still life, automotive and rock & roll.

Over the past two decades, I’ve gained the trust of iconic brands, shooting advertising campaigns for Toyota, Mercedes Benz, David Jones, Schweppes and Penfolds.

In 2015, my first solo art exhibition, “Without Water,” featured a series of macro studies of flowers in decay, which redefined my approach to my work at every level.

I believe an image should stand the test of time—delivered through Japanese-inspired discipline, creativity and technical craft.
